Is Wikipedia Accurate?

  • This news article highlights one of the main studies on Wikipedia’s accuracy. (NOTE: After this research was released, it was noted that the Wikipedia entries were twice as long as the Encyclopedia entries, so percentage of inaccuracies, compared with total volume of knowledge, was even smaller with Wikipedia.)
  • This op-ed column cites some research and also explains the process for editing Wikipedia (not just ANYONE can do it).
  • I realize the irony of this, but this Wikipedia page does a good job of outlining (with links) research on Wikipedia accurracy, as well as criticisms of the site.
